Salary: Grade 2, Point 2-4, (£24,414 - £25,185) pro rata (actual salary £10,546-£10,879)

FTE: 18.75 hrs per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 8.30am – 3.30pm); 39 weeks per year

We are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic person to support children across the whole school.  The successful candidate must be able to support the class teacher in addition to working with individuals and small groups of children. Through doing this they will assist children with their learning, enabling them to achieve the work set by the class teacher and deliver intervention and support programmes. Experience of working in a school is desirable but not essential as support and training will be put in place for the successful candidate.

Freeman Community Primary School is a successful, happy, caring community of 197 children in the village of Stowupland, near Stowmarket. We are part of the Children’s Endeavour Trust as one of eight primary schools across the Stowmarket and Ipswich areas. The Children’s Endeavour Trust allows for opportunities to network with colleagues in different schools to support professional development for all staff across the Trust.

• possesses good literacy and numeracy skills (at least GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent)
