Open Morning for 2019 Reception Children

We invite parents looking for a Reception class place in 2019/20 to an Open Morning on Thursday 22nd November 2018 at 9.15am - 10.15am or 10.45am - 11.45am by appointment only.  The tours will begin at 9.15am and 10.45am with opportunities for you to speak to our Reception teachers and our Headteacher whilst seeing the school in action.  Please call the school or email admin@freeman.suffolk.sch.uk to book a place on a tour.  

Friends of Freeman Christmas Raffle

Tickets have now been sent home for the Friends of Freeman Christmas Raffle.  Tickets cost £1 per ticket or £5 per book and give you the chance to win one of seven fantastic Chrstimas Hampers.  The prize draw will take place on Friday 14th December.  Good luck!

Children in Need

This year the School Council have invited all children and staff to come to school in spotty or brightly coloured clothes for a minimum donation of £1 to Children in Need on Friday 16th November.

In the afternoon the children will be grouped to take part in three activities led by staff including dancing, singing and relaxation. Children can also bring in any additional money or loose change to try to cover their class's picture of Pudsey with money.

Friends of Freeman Disco

Friends of Freeman will be holding a disco on Thursday 29th November after school.  The cost will be £2.50 per child with the disco for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 taking place between 3.15-4.15pm and the Years 3-6 between 4.30-5.45pm.

Portals to the Past - Years 3 & 4

‘Portals to the Past’ will be visiting Years 3 and 4 on Tuesday 4th December. 'Portals to the Past' provide immersive and inspiring hands-on educational historical workshops to children in schools.  The day will be split into two halves; Year 3’s topic this half term is The Stone Age and will be looking at the timeline of mankind, from being hunter gatherers, to early farming communities, ancient technology, cave art and the development of Stone tools. Year 4’s topic this half term is The Romans and will be looking at Roman weapons and armour, Boudicca’s last battle, gladiators and the Emperors role down to slaves.
