Spring Term Highlights

In January Hurricane Productions visited the school and performed the popular family pantomime, Aladdin to all of the children.  Both children and staff had a fantastic afternoon (oh no they didn't! oh yes they did!).

RE Theme Week

During our recent RE Theme Week the children looked at festivals and religions around the world.  The displays below show some of the impressive work the children completed throughout the school during the week.

World Book Day

For World Book Day this year, children were invited to dress-up as their favourite book character.  We also held a Book Review competition where the children were invited to submit a review of their favourite book and the best review in each class won a £5 Scholastic Book Token.  We received some very impressive reviews which are now displayed in the library.  Well done to the winners who are in the photo below!

Year 4 Science Festival Trip

Hazel Class visited the Suffolk Science Festival in Bury St Edmunds in February.  They participated in a range of activities supporting their science learning such as dusting for fingerprints (forensics), making a model lung and separating solids and liquids.  They thoroughly enjoyed themselves whilst also having the opportunity to enhance their scientific skills and do some fun hands-on experiments!

Sporting Achievements

Continuing our success from the Autumn term, this term we came 3rd in the Indoor Athletics tournament, 2nd in Quicksticks and 1st and 3rd in Gymnastics.  Participants ranged from Year 1 to Year 6 and once again the behaviour and attitude of all of the children was exemplary.

Year 3 & 4 Piped Piper Performance

Years 3 and 4 put on a wonderful performance of the Pied Piper to parents at the end of term.  They all worked very hard and delivered their lines and sang their songs brilliantly!
